Art Practice

I am a visual artist living and working in London. I have been passionate about colour ever since I had a box of crayons. I am drawn to expressing the celebratory in the everyday. My work ranges from a contemporary approach to traditional still life, to travel sketchbooks and drawings on till-rolls. Being visually impaired has been a significant factor in the development of my art practice and my professional career.

My practice continues to be primarily as a painter, but I also work increasingly using photography, printmaking and film. While passionate about painting, I have also become interested in the possibilities of combining this much loved painting tradition with digital technology. I also have begun to incorporate my writing in my work having developed an interest in artistic applications of audio-description.

I trained in Fine Art at Bristol, specialising in painting and later completed a Masters in Drawing at Wimbledon College of Art. I currently have a studio at Cannizaro Park in South London.
