Bluecoat Studio Windows No 1 (Portrait)
This picture was taken at night in the studio with no flash. I opened the door of my studio. Most of the studio was in black darkness, but an unseen security light had cast a large, fan-like shadow of half a window lengthways on the floor. It was a radiant shaft of unexpected light. The camera has picked out the white and grey textures on the floor, the semi circular shape cut of by the black door frame and the degraded, monochromatic quality of the image making it reminiscent of an ultrasound.
