Arts Management
I have several years of project management experience in the arts, and have particular experience working on projects run by and for disabled people. I worked for many years for Shape, the largest disability arts organisation in the UK. As Arts Development Manager and later as Artists Professional Development Manager, I was responsible for developing and implementing a varied arts programme across art forms throughout London. This work included collaborating with deaf and disabled artists and key arts organisations including the Serpentine Gallery, Graeae Theatre Company, Art Through Touch, Riverside Studios, Lyric Theatre and Tate Modern.
I managed a number of strategic projects, which involved working with key funders such as the Arts Council, Bridge House Trust and London Development Agency. I have worked closely with experienced trainers to design and deliver training courses in specialist areas such as access auditing and professional development for artists.
