Japan Residency, Kyoto
Following a successful touring exhibition, workshop and lecture tour to Japan in 2005, plans are underway for a return visit to Kyoto in October-November 2006. At the invitation of Kyoto University of Art this residency will include time to make art inspired by the Zen and temple gardens previously visited and collaboration with the students studying traditional Japanese painting. The residency is supported by the Gen Foundation.

"Living Art" Project, Whitechapel Art Gallery
In collaboration with poet, Evlynn Sharp, I acted as artist facilitator on this 6 week partnership project with Vocaleyes and the Whitechapel Art Gallery. Using the Rondinone and David Adjaye exhibitions at the gallery as a starting point, we worked with visually impaired artists to explore description and it's relation to the visual arts and space. The project culminated in a performance and readings of the work held at the Whitechapel in April 2006. An audio CD of participants work has been produced as part of the project.
